Ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and a good understanding of Construction Project Management. Position will need to be within CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA and a close commute to a major airport as well.

SUMMARY:

The Project Manager is responsible for managing assigned construction and improvement projects at Flyers locations from inception to final completion while following safety and industry best practice standards. This position will be responsible for the outcome of the projects they oversee including the areas of contractor selection and oversight, internal team coordination, project budget, project timelines, and overall quality of work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Manage assigned projects for company-operated locations or other projects as assigned

*Manage timeline to execute, by priority, the approved projects for the budget period

*Work with other teams within Flyers to identify project objectives as part of the budget request processes

*Design and define the refined scope of assigned projects to ensure a detailed and complete project scope taking into account the necessary budget and project timeline

*Project manager will be responsible for creating detailed project scopes that are to be reviewed with his/her manager to ensure it will meet the desired needs

*The project manager will solicit bids from contractors, review them for accuracy, and award for each assigned project

*Communicate with various teams that will be supporting and those that could be disrupted by the project to set expectations, needs, and timelines

*Provide regular project status updates to the project stakeholders

*Maintain, file, and organize all project documents electronically from beginning to completion utilizing the Smartsheet project management program.

*Manage contractors while onsite remotely and travel to job sites at key milestones during the projects to monitor and inspect the progress

*Review, evaluate, and approve contractor and supplier invoices for accuracy

*General understanding of all Federal, State, and Local regulations governing general construction and permitting as well as Flyers specific business sectors

*Proficient in MS Office applications and Google applications/email required

*High level of understanding of building trades and construction sequencing for areas such as carpentry, electrical, mechanical, etc.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Promote and support company image standards

*Cross train and/or act as backup for other positions in the department

*Adheres to all city, county, state and federal regulations

*Stay familiar with the Company Handbook and Company Policies

*Communicate effectively with team members in other departments to resolve problems and provide information as needed

*Work in a safe manner at all times and report all accidents immediately

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) or Certification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management (PMP) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school. 2 years of industry experience with bulk petroleum plants, cardlock fueling operations, or similar experience is desired.
